From 1949, established People's Republic Of China, Brasil and China have always had the connection on the international trade. In 1947, two countries had established diplomatic relationship.
   Through the efforts from both sides, two countries have obtained the developments on the economic and trade relationships, now, Brasil has been the largest trading partner of China in Latin-America. In 1999, two countries' total trading amount is USD1,844,000,000.00, China's exporting amount is USD876,000,000.00, importing amount is USD968,000,000.00, from January to June in 2000, the total trading amount is USD1,067,000,000.00, exporting to Brasil is USD532,000,000.00, importing from Brasil is USD535,000,000.00.
   In recently year, according to the government's attention and efforts from the enterprises, two countries get a huge development on the field of the econcmic cooperation. Especially, in 1999, the globe resources satellite which was made of two countries was launched successfully, and it has become the model on cooperation of high-tec field in developing countries.
   1. The investment in Brasil from chinese enterprises According to the statistic, to the end of 1999, China has set up total fifty enterprises in Brasil, and USD50,300,000.00 were invested from China, the industries relate to food, clothing, light industry include production process,smelting, wooding and timbering, transportation, medicine, restaurant etc.
   2. The cooperation item in China of Brasil's enterprises To the end of 1999, Brasil has invested 193 items in China, directly invested USD49,240,000.00. Mainly including hydropower station consulting services, road construct, sanxia project bidding etc. Furthermore, the bank of Brasil , Brasil engineering desgin and construction company, Brasil petroleum company's international trading company all have the representatives in China.
   3. After 1974, China and Brasil established the diplomatic relationship, then in the year of 1978 and 1979, signed goverments trading agreement and sea transportation agreement. In 1984, signed supplement agreement to the trade. In 1990, signed economic and tecnology cooperation agreement, in 1991, signed avoidance to double taxation agreement.
